i had a slight burst of energy after work tonight
and after a couple hours reading a bunch of craft blogs
decided to make a light box.
thanks to
do stuff! and
strobist i learned how to do it
the cheap and easy way.
it's so easy i had to share.i imagine the size of the box depends on what you will be photographing...
or like me, what you have on-hand. :)
actually everything i used to make this i already had,
but if you don't have any of the supplies this is only a $10 project at best.
first i cut off 2 of the 4 flaps on the top of the box
then large squares out of 3 of the 4 sides.
{top, left and right}
keep at least a 2-4 inch border on each side.
you will need tracing paper and clear packaging tape to get the proper light box effect.
after all 3 sides are cut tape the tracing paper over the squares.
{
it doesn't have to be pretty}
just cover the entire square.
tape some poster board up along the back so you have a clean background.
the poster board was the one item i didn't have but i tried it with fabric and it wasn't so bad.
i prefer my light source from the top,
but this gives the option of side lit photo shoots.
this is my super quick, i'm really tired now so just grab what's in range photo shoot.
my uke doesn't get as much love as it used to.
my pile of headband starters that i'm
slowly working on.
some
A.W.E.S.O.M.E. gifts from a friend who just got back from thailand.
the banana was the mr's contribution to the shoot.
thanks honey.he was probably as excited about this light box as i was.
but for different reasons i'm guessing.
now that i've used up every ounce of energy i have i'm going to bed.

ps- the
do stuff! blog also has some
amaaaaazing diy's for dyeing yarn.
i don't do yarn crafts (
yet) but i can't find a reason
NOT to do
this diy.
