today, today, it's cupcake day!

i took the day off to be with my other half on his special day!

two things i'm doing today:

you don't let me get away with anything.
you continue to find the best in people.

our adventures to the grocery store.
your constant encouragement.
your ability to make me laugh even when i'm really, really mad at you.

your and the cat's late night conversations.
our cooking and baking messes. (there's still cookie dough on the ceiling.)

dinner was soooo good.

it didn't seem like this much sushi when we ordered it..

...but the food just kept coming!

the birthday boy finished his plate.

what a lovely night with beautiful friends.
we don't get out and do this much so it was a nice change.

and while we are certainly stuffed i must craft on.

messy, messy

i cannot believe how messy my desk is right now.

if i have any hope of getting anything done i should probably clean it.
-but it's chaos!-

i'm making scarves today!
or at least getting them started.
they'll be green or heather gray. both of the fabric colors are amazing.
gray is so hip right now :) and this green blew my mind!
i was only going to do one color, but after standing in the fabric store for 30 minutes debating i finally just got both.

in moments when i really need to be decisive i've been known to fail.
epically.
but rest assured- i did okay today.

it is the perfect day for crafting.
ominous clouds outside make it look like it could start pouring at any second.
and since it's spring in washington i imagine it will.

oh. there it goes.

hopefully it won't be too bad around 7pm.
tomorrow is my other half's birthday and we're going to sushi tonight to celebrate!
i love sushi and i love that guy so i fancy tonight will be
super fantastic!!

i'm so tired.

it's 5:30am.
it won't stop raining.
i'm being whiny pants.
my feet are cold.
i should be working on something right now.

i didn't get to watch any trashy tv tonight.
i'm hungry.

yeah, that about covers it.

but this makes me happy.

dreams, goals and ice cream

i have big plans for myself and i'm pretty excited about them.

guess who already has a side project even though she hasn't finished her priority projects yet??

i've had this collaborative side project (regan design.) in the works for months now with one of the most talented artists i know. we have created so many amazing designs together, but have yet to make anything of them. our goal was, is and always will be t-shirts. I love the idea of wearable art, but haven't had access to a screen printing setup until now.

i. am. thrilled.
and you will be too. i pinky swear.

ps- i started making some hair accessories for my first series! these are not even the beginning of what is happening here in my little studio.
it's madness!

making.stuff.happen.

i'm on a journey to unify creating art and making a living from it in one of the most misunderstood places in the world- tacoma, wa.

all my crafting and sewing and drawing and gluing will be documented here to keep me in touch with reality and help me to create without limits. i'm giving myself one month (two at the most, i swear..) to finish my first series of projects and put them up to sell on etsy.

this will probably get interesting.
